88API uses a Usage-Based Dual Licensing model.

Open Source License (AGPLv3)

Under AGPLv3, you can freely use, modify, and distribute 88API for personal and open-source projects.

Key Terms:

Free to use, modify, and distribute
Full license text: GNU AGPLv3
Core Obligation: If you modify and deploy as a network service (SaaS), you must make your complete source code available under AGPLv3
Branding Requirement: You must retain all original branding, logos, and copyright notices

You cannot remove or modify 88API branding when using only the AGPLv3 license. A Commercial License is required for white-labeling.

Commercial License

You must obtain a Commercial License in the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: White-Labeling

You want to remove or modify 88API logos, branding, or copyright notices in your product.

Scenario 2: Closed-Source SaaS

You've modified 88API and want to offer it as a service without open-sourcing your modifications.

Scenario 3: Enterprise Needs

Your organization's policies prohibit AGPLv3 software, or you need OEM integration rights.

Scenario 4: Commercial Support

You require official technical support, SLAs, and commercial assurances.
